I had heard a lot about this movie, and so decided to watch it. It was great for the first hour. Fun, and engaging, and it has a very memorable action scene that takes place out on the streets. However, after a certain point I found myself asking "When is this going to end?" and that is never a good sign. It simply ran on for too long. It gets dull and monotonous. It is lengthy with nothing going on for extended periods of time. The action scenes are sometimes fun, and the performances are great, but it definitely could have benefited from having quite a few minutes edited out.

This was the second film of three to feature both Al Pacino and Robert De Niro, the first being Godfather II of course. Good mix, of suspense, action and drama.

This movie is brilliant and I believe was the first film to feature both Pacino and DeNiro. It's doesn't get as much recognition as it deserves I don't think but it's truly a classic.
