What is "reputation"?

If you see a number next to your username, this is your "reputation" on BuyersVote. Simply put, this is a measure of how much other members of BuyersVote trust you.

You get more reputation (+10) when other users vote up your reviews and page revisions as being helpful. Your reputation will drop (-2) when users vote down your reviews and page revisions as not being helpful.

This is used for quality control on the site - a minimum reputation is required for certain administrative tasks like flagging, deleting, and editing pages.
