Brian Armstrong's Reviews

The best description I've heard of this decide is a "flawed masterpiece". Sure it has a few minor detractions (no video, non replaceable battery, copy/paste - which is now fixed, AT&T). But at the end of the day there is no denying that this phone revolutionized mobile devices for the better. You'd be hard pressed to find a better phone out right now.

I'm leaving a neutral review on this phone, because although I have had one now for several years and I'm very used to it, I did not always have such a good relationship with this phone.

When I first got it the software was very buggy, almost to the point of being unusable. Blackberry eventually released an upgrade which made it tolerable, but their software has never been anywhere near as good as other phone devices (like the iPhone) and it feels like beta software with random crashes and inconsistent user interfaces.

The hardware, on the other hand, has has been excellent. It is very durable and has suffered lots of wear and tear over the last few years, but it keeps on tickin.
