Of all the blogs on entrepreneurship I read, Paul Graham's writing probably resonates with me the most. Maybe it's because he is a programmer too. He had a lot of success building/launching what became Yahoo Stores and is the real deal. His writing is also outstanding, he polishes and perfects about one long article per month - and has a particular affection for analogies. He's a philosophical guy, so at times the topics border on mental masturbation rather than practical advice, but there is plenty of the latter as well. Definitely worth checking out!

Opera is a worthy contender in the browser wars, mostly for speed. But I'm afraid the world doesn't need another browser. Chrome is also focused on speed, and will win simply from Google's marketing power. Firefox beats in on plugins, etc.

It's a shame really because Opera was clearly designed by some brilliant people. And indeed they were the first to introduce some features (like mouse gestures) that were quickly adopted by other browsers. They deserve a lot of credit for that. But it basically goes to show you that you can't be just a little bit better in UI to gain market share. IE, despite a VASTLY inferior interface still retains to most market share for browsers. While Opera is commendable, Firefox and Chrome have a much better chance of taking that spot from IE.

I had way too much downtime with their Rails hosting. Would not recommend.

I've been very happy with these folks over the last few years.

Update: their prices are now almost double Linode. I'd probably check them out for my next project.
